[Updated 11/10/20] In view of the current prolonged and significant uncertainties surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Ewha International Summer College is paying close attention to guidelines from the Korean government and WHO in order to decide whether we will be able to operate our 2021 summer program. Eligibility
- All officially enrolled & tuition-paying visiting students in Ewha ISC
- Full scholarship recipients are required to take two or more courses.
Note
- Students from partner schools under exchange status (tuition and application fee already waived) are not eligible to apply for the below scholarships.
- Ewha ISC Excellence Award: send application materials to gosummer@ewha.ac.kr.
- EWUUACNA Washington DC Chapter Scholarship: send application materials to the Scholarship Committee Chair of EWUUACNA Washington DC Chapter.
- All other types of Full Scholarships: apply directly to the International Foundation for Ewha Womans University (as intructed in the attached guideline).
- Scholarship results will be announced through individual e-mails.
- Students can apply for only one of the full scholarships.

The Washington, DC Chapter of EWUUACNA scholarship supports both foreign nationals and Korean nationals currently residing in the USA who wish to study in the Ewha ISC.

- A copy of college/university transcript or a copy of an acceptance letter from the admitted institution (applicable to high school students)
- Personal essay (free form)

- A letter of recommendation from professor/teacher

Dr. Richard Hahn established this memorial scholarship for his wife, Kim Ronyoung (Mrs. Gloria Hahn) in 1988.
Mrs. Hahn is the author of “Clay Walls”, the first novel written by a Korean-American about Korean immigrants to the USA during the early 20th century.

For study at Ewha Womans University International Summer School
The board of International Foundation for Ewha W. University established a scholarship fund with the undesignated income from the 40th anniversary dinner in 2010 and named it Bishop Sharon Zimmerman Rader Scholarship to honor the love, dedication and leadership for Ewha she has shown in her presidency (2002-2014). It is for non-Korean American/Canadian students to study at Ewha’s International Summer School.

For study at Ewha Womans University International Summer School.
Drs. Ira & Cindy Chang Hyun Shin Geer established this scholarship. Dr. Cindy Chang Hyun Shin Geer (’57 Education) graduated from Ewha Womans University and the State University of New York, Buffalo, with Ph.D. in International Education (1981). She is the author of River of Faith – 40 years history of the International Foundation for Ewha W. University. This Scholarship supports the International Summer College students from developing countries.

The Southern California Alumnae Summer School Scholarship was established in November, 2015 by the Ewha University Alumnae Association of Southern California. This scholarship is for US students enrolled in accredited US college/university who want to study at Ewha International Summer College. Preferably residents in zip code 900XX – 928XX.

Full Scholarship option for Session 2 (Airfare, Accommodations ALL inclusive)
This scholarship might be the one for you if you are...
- an undergraduate student at a Japanese university, AND
- a Japanese passport holder, AND
- between the age of 18 and 30.
Scholarship Support Details: Tuition(100%), Accommodation, Round-trip airfare support and other Living Expenses
Full payment from the Korean government
Required documents:
- Completed Application form
- A copy of college transcript
- Proof of English Language Proficiency
- Statement of Purpose (free-form)
- A medical(or doctor's) cerificate (documentation that the subject is fit enough for travel overseas)
- 2 letter of recommendation by a professor at home university
- Certified copy of one's family register
Deadline of Submission: October 23, 2020
Successful applicants will be notified individually or via their home institution by early November of 2020.
※ This scholarship is applicable for students whose parents and themselves are ALL Japanese nationalities. Multiple nationality support is not available.

This scholarship is automatically available to students who complete the total application process, including submission of the online application and payment of the application fee and tuition by March 26, 2021 for Session 1 and May 28, 2021 for Session 2.
