Center for Quantum Nanoscience
The Center for Quantum Nanoscience (QNS) is a project from the Korean Basic Science Institute that is hosted at Ewha Womans University. We are an international research center where the working lanugage is English and we produce world class research and researchers at the cutting edge of knowledge in physics and chemistry. It is the perfect mixture of a world class research environment with the excellence of Ewha and the fantastic surroundings of Seoul.
The Director Andreas Heinrich is one of the leading researchers in quantum nanoscience worldwide. He has won awards for both instrumentation and research results from the American Physical Society, where he was made a Fellow, and the Foresight Institute.
Overview of QNS Internship Program
Program
The internship program is provided to the students who enroll in the Quantum Computing course during Session 1, and it will be led by expert experimental researchers in the Center for Quantum Nanoscience (QNS). The program is composed of 2 days of introduction to experimental works in QNS and 8 days of lab tours and activities for 2 hours a day starting from 1PM. QNS will provide the students chances to practically experience lab activities of a very basic level but indispensable for the realization of theory and ideas of Quantum Nanoscience.
Please note that students from all majors can apply as long as they enroll in the Quantum Computing course. Internship placement is not guaranteed, and the Center for QNS wil select the interns upon review.
